He's here!
At 10:45pm 22/07/2012 my perfect son Elijah Keilan was born via emergency C Section.
My brave, amazing wife began contracting around 2am two days before and was so so awe inspiring with her stamina, focus and commitment but unfortunately dilation etc did not progress and baby came in a manner we hadn't planned.
Will update with full birth story once I have had some sleep :s

This is it!
Each night that I have kissed my wife goodnight over the last week I have jokingly said 'wake me at 3am with contractions'. Well... This morning she did! It's now almost 5am and currently the contractions are 7 minutes apart lasting 1 minute.
I could attribute this to the regular walks we have been taking, the conversations I have been having with Baby Mac letting him/her know that it's time and I'll explode for sure if s/he doesn't come soon, or even the Labour Cake I baked yesterday (recipe to come in a following blog) but I think baby is just ready :)
We are just chilling In our bedroom, trying to not wake her mum, because it's not time for the news to start spreading through our families yet... She's doing so well, just as I knew she would. She's focused, strong and in between contractions, she's still able to have a giggle with me :) I'm sitting here grinning like a cheshire cat (trying not to when she's actually having a contraction, that would just be mean!)
Ok, signing off now. I'll be back when it's all over!

38 and 39 weeks
We can see the finish line!
Due next Wednesday, we are now just playing the waiting game. It feels just like in the beginning, waiting, symptom spotting, hormones and emotions going mad... But at least we know it's merely days until we get to meet our little one.
No new developments really, we are engaged, not sleeping, everything is packed and washed and set up. Oh! And J has noticed the first signs of lactation!!! Woohoo!
I have had some moments of feeling a little overwhelmed... I haven't relay thought of our donor at all since J became pregnant, since he is an anonymous Canadian man that I may not ever meet, but the other day while on a waddle with my wife I felt a sudden rush if gratitude for this stranger. This spectacular man who has helped make our dreams come true. I hope that he realises How grateful I am that he made the decision to donate.
Hopefully next entry, there will be baby pictures!

Being Pregnant Meme
We have been tagged by the lovely mytwomums to participate in our first ever meme – The “Being Pregnant” meme was started by the curious Trinket of Treasure!
My darling wife J, has agreed to be guest blogger today! YAY!
THE RULES
We are a very nosey curious bunch, so please answer the following questions in depth. YOU’RE NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE ANY DETAILS OUT (only joking). But, please do write as much as you want, keeping in mind the joys of life are in the finer details.
Invite three or more women and link them to your blog post. As I don’t know many mothers or pregnant women, I’d appreciate it if you could invite as many mothers/ expecting women you know to participate. But please remember you don’t have to be invited to take part. THE MORE THE MERRIER!
Leave a comment about what you think of this meme and a link to your blogpost HERE
For lovelies that have been pregnant more than once, answer the question in regards to your first pregnancy.
