Hatching, cots and one beautiful belly

We brought our cot and have put it up in what will be Baby Mac's room...

It's the loveliest cot, it's makes me feel all full of butterflies and hope when I go in there. I just want to sleep in there, right on the floor, so I can be surrounded by all the lovely things we have brought and been gifted...

Is it too soon? It feels a bit soon, but we can't help ourselves - it doesn't help that all the yearly sales are on now. We would be silly not to get the bargains while we can ($500 off the cot!) but are we silly for not waiting? What are your opinions my bloggy friends?

Meanwhile, I already cannot keep my hands of her belly!!!! It's already so round and lovely. I can't WAIT until its bigger :D

Oh! And I had a major 'hatching' experience this weekend. Let me start by saying that I LOVE BBQ chicken. I could eat a whole chicken if I was allowed, the smell usually makes my tummy rumble and I can't wait to get into it... WELL, not this weekend! Jobrought one to have on sandwiches for lunch and as soon as she got it into the car, I GAGGED, like really gagged, and had to stay outside while she made her lunch. She thought it was hilarious, which of course it was. It was the strangest feeling ever. Very gross but also very cool to get some insight into what my wife's been feeling each night when I cook dinner :) I'm happy to report, that later that day I did manage to have some chicken ;)

14 weeks! Hello second trimester!

We made it! My wife is SO clever :D she has created this little creature and kept it safe all the way to the second trimester! I could squeal!

She started feeling much better closer to tri2 but not so much right now :/ hopefully it's just a fleeting reminder that bubs is in there, powering away rather than an indication of what's to come :s

We went to the target baby sale... It was so much fun! We spent SO MUCH MONEY without really batting an eye... Well, I didn't. Poor Jo almost fell over teehee. But we now have a car seat, a portable cot, a swinger bouncer thing, a video baby monitor and my sister has given us a baby bath :)

Presents are starting to come, we received a parcel addressed to 'baby Mac' from 'Nanny and Poppy' yesterday - from my grandparents. It was full of tiny baby clothes and a plush kookaburra, with sound :D - I love the kookaburra because that's my favourite Australian animal, my totem even... So it's a bit special.

I can't keep my hands of her tummy, it's changed so much already - I'm loving it.

Lucky 13!

So today we are 13 weeks! Woo Hoo!

Yesterday we heard the little heartbeat which was so lovely and also for the Nuchal scan results - they were fantastic! There's basically no chance of the three abnormalities that they test for.

I'm finding myself having moments of 'wow! We're having a baby!' more regularly now, but although I love the little creature so much already I feel like it hasn't truly sunk in yet :p

Jo's tummy is changing so fast, other people probably can't tell but I can :)

12 weeks

So we have made it!!!! We are at the spectacular amazing fantastic 12 week mark.

Jo is starting to feel more human and is spending less time hugging the loo ;)

We had our ultrasound today and it was AMAZING! I am totally blown away at this little creature growing inside my love... It has a face and fingers and toes and the cutest little nose!!!

My life is fabulous!

11 weeks!

Week eleven feels like heaven?

NOPE!

Poor darling is still so ill. She has spent today between the couch, bed and the loo for vomit sessions :(

We have told a few more of our closest friends, and the news has been met with tears, squeals, and all round happiness.

We have brought our nappy bag set and have agreed on a woodland theme for the nursery (which means huge tree wall sticker, of course!!!!)

I have been googling like CRAZY and have 'right-click-saved' sooooo many pics of SUPER CUTE stuff like:

                                                      Super cute YODA BEANIES!

ADORABLE crochet animals like Mr Fox here

We LOVE the 3 in 1 sleigh cots :)

and of course, the weekly post would not be complete without the weekly belly pic:
